The niece of a friend of mine.....She was bitten on Sunday and still in hospital. I am told swelling has gotten worse since picture was taken.

    Kill the damn things....

    Yep, kill 'em all.

I hope the little girl recovers soon, that's a nasty looking bite.

I'm very sad for the girl, hope she has a full recovery.
I'm also sad about the close minded and fearful responses. To start, snakes do a lot of good, to say that they don't is very close minded. And to fear them so much as to say "kill them all", if you want to fear something fear the vehicle you drive, fear the drunk driver, so many things that harm people so much more than snakes....

If she's in a good hospital she'll pull through. It's really scary but I just went through it in July. Timber rattlesnake got me on my heel. 8 vials of antivenin later and I'm still alive. It's scary stuff but she'll be fine. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

You haven't been bitten by a poisonous snake have you.
Call me what you want...if I kill the SOB he wont get me on the ankle. Let non poisonous snakes do all the "good".

Hopefully she makes a full (fast) recovery. Gentle hugs to her!
