I wish I knew how to upload a video of one of my two 4 year olds giving his instructions on how to shoot his bow from my phone. For now this pic will have to do.

Gavin is 4 and has been somewhat attempting to shoot a bow since he was 2. I was taking him outside every couple of weeks and helping him shoot. his attention span was extremely short as I expected it to be. Last fall I picked up a couple Mathews Genesis bows and started working with him and his brother. After a little while Gavin would shoot 3-5 arrows an be on to something else. At that time I decided I would let him ask to shoot and maybe then he would put more effort and enjoy it more.

That paid off last Saturday. He shot for nearly 40 minutes then when his pawpaw came to visit later that afternoon shot another 25 or so minutes. He did great! He made me let go of the riser this time. Even had to nock his own arrows. Proud Daddy!

Kasen is my other son. We only have him every other weekend so my time developing him has been limited but, before it became to cold for them to shoot he was holding the bow up by himself after getting it drawn. He has started asking to shoot again so, between Tball it looks like we will be shooting bows this weekend.

Other than being a Christian and knowing The Lord as my savior, there is no better feeling in this world than being a dad!

Lets see those little ones shooting!
