List two "legitimate" reasons why you believe you will take out a deer from Friday-Sunday.

Mine are simple. I will be wearing Ultimate Camo and will be hunting in spirit for my long lost friend.....MUMRAAAAAA!

    1. Most or all crops have now been harvested in my area. Food is more scarce with less places to hide.
    2. Colder temps
    3. I'm going to be sitting longer periods of time.
    4. Bucks are starting to move during daylight with the increased testosterone.
    5. I have not hunted for two weeks so all my stands are fresh.
    6. I'M DUE!!!!
    Need more?

    Thunder, Thunder, Thunder cats hooooooooooooooooooo...

I believe that may be the first time in the history of hunting forums that Mumra has been listed as the reason a big boy will die. Brett, I cannot wait to see your mug sitting behind ANY trad kill. You have taken this thing and ran with it and that is awsome.

Thanks Michael. I have passed shots under 10 yards on three different bucks over the past 3 days. A 4point and two spikes. I just cant shoot em. I really hope a doe or a good buck gives me a legit shot. And for Mumra!!!! HE is the key to unlocking the secrets of the big woods bucks.

Brad. Give em hell this weekend.

Scott, that is right...cooler temps this time of the year mean....KILL

Carppy weather gets 'em moving, and Im pulling out some WAY more aggressive tactics now that were in the high point of pre-rut/early rut. Moving right to the fringe of a bedding area tomorrow afternoon, and hunting that stand all day in the rain on Sunday. Hopefully it pays off big!

My main motivation is to be able to see the look on my oldest face when he gets to see a deer up close that daddy shot. Ohhh boy can't wait.... neither can he.

Missed a doe last evening....... I'd just ranged a downed treetop, and I thought she was at that one, drew, held that 40yd pin right on here as she had her head down drinking water and squeezed my release........ Zip, a little short..... She popped her head up and ran off, I re-ranged, and she was 49yds!!! :throw: I'd have sworn she was by the top that was 40yds, but my eyes was playing tricks on me.... Lost my arrow and everything. Good news, I don't think she had a clue what it was, bad news, I don't have any meat left in the freezer!!! I got called into work and I saw 3 bucks 2 good looking bucks on my way to work tonight!!! :tu: Gonna be an afternoon hunt tomorrow, then likely an all day sit on Saturday and morning sit on Sunday before taking the kids trick-or-treating.

Waitin' to hear the story Steve???
