Landon, I am going to let you in on a secret that very few archers know. You have to dress up like the picture below...then your bow will open up to you and tell you all of its shortcomings.
the only lipstick I had was some light beige looking stuff my wife had...tried it and found no marks on the fletching you know...I could solve this if I just shot trad only!! can't afford one now, spent too much on hunting land!
Actually, I've heard/seen it done both ways, if the fletches end up with marks from the rest, you'll see the problems as well.
I will give props to the aeorsal foot powder as well..... Big John (gotta give props where props are due... Spud... you are the man).... showed my buddy Matt and I this trick and it works great. Spray it on the rest and the fletchings (if they make contact) will leave a mark every time!
Just one piece of advice. Regardless of where you put the lipstick (fletching or rest) make sure that you have you're old lady buy it for you. Because when she finds it in the console of your truck or hidden in your bow case, trying to tell her that the bright red lipstick is to tune your bow... does NOT work. I didn't read that in a pamphlet!
I think I just wet myself!!! Do you really sit here and think this stuff up??? I have always used the powder myself good advise guys!!! Walt
Yeah, luckily for me... it was brand new and you could see where I ran it down the edge of the blazers... Had I not had proof, I might no be here to tell the story!
