http://www.limbsaver.com/2009/speedzone.php Interested to see if the speeds are real and how it draws. Love this company and I think if they could get the right design they could really take off. I have never even seen one of their bows so I don't know if dealers are selling them or big stores.......anyone have one??
I know looks don't matter one bit...But I cannot get over how ugly limbsavers bows are. I shot the deadzone last year, wasn't much impressed. 5 7/8" brace height I'm not really found of, either. I'd like to shoot it though.
See I shot the DeadZone last year and really liked it. It had a smooth draw, solid wall, and I thought it was very quiet. And to be honest with you, I didn't mind the look of it either. Although I will admit, this new bow is definitely lacking in the looks department quite a bit. I will shoot it at ATA and see what I think, then report back. As for people that have them - WKP Todd is shooting a DeadZone I believe, and we won a DeadZone at the Campbell Outdoor Challenge that Mike has. Not sure if he's going to shoot it next year or sell it and buy something else. Oh, and they're only sold through dealers. No box stores are carrying them.
ya, cuz speed is where its all at right?? TFF and ya, its friggin ugly... local gander had a limbsaver bow last year, it was ugly then, no desire to shoot it...
I'm curious how it shoots as well. As far as looks, who cares? Do you plan on taking out to dinner? The bar? Do you want it to meet the family? Or just a one night stand?
There are so many bows on the market now, you'd think that the prices might fall with so much supply, but it seem as though they are only rising out of control, 1,000 for a bare bow??
I didn't even know that Limbsaver made bows. Like many of you said, that bow is ugly as hell. I know it's not about looks, but as much as bows cost, I would rather get one that looks a lot better thann that.
I'd say the one night stand is the most likely outcome for most fellows. She is easy (no bow press) and cheap (compared to most bows people on here probably shoot), not to mention fast... Plus I'd have to be pretty intoxicated to grab ahold of one of these ugly gals. On a serious note, I also didn't know limbsaver made bows. It seems like many other manufacturers sell packages with limbsaver accessories on there, which is where the name really got big I believe. I wonder if they will continue to do so since the company now represents part of their direct competition.
They make everything archery related except stands I believe........they do make coatings to quiet your stand though. Great company with high quality vibration dampening products for everything from softball bats to rifles as well as bows. Their products are improving every year.......they have nice sights, quivers, a drop away rest that doesn't need moleskin, stabilizers.....you name it. Eliminating limbsaver products from your line does nothing but hurt you.......there are many copies out there but they stand alone in the sound and vibration dampening department IMO. It's simply what they do best. I think you are right though that other companies may start to favor products like BowJax that aren't competing with them to sell bows...........all depends how popular Limbsaver bows and accessories get I suppose. Archers are going to continue to buy Limbsaver stuff no matter what because they have products that work so well.
