I know I remember seeing a discussion about adjusting the limb weights, but I can't seem to find it now. It had to do with is it better to max out the limbs or to be way under the max to reach the draw weight you want.

I have 70# limbs on my synergy, but they are set at 62-63 lbs. That is where I am comfortable pulling back smoothly. Should I keep them or try to trade for 60# or 65# limbs? Eventually I hope to gain enough muscle to pull over 65 lbs (when I've been sitting in subzero temps all morning).

Short question...is it dangerous to be pulling 62 pounds on 70 pound limbs?

Years ago (1970-80s) bow lost a lot of efficiency turning them down. They also had a much larger draw weight range than the typical 10# of today. Today's bow loose little when turning them down.

I have no issue shooting a 70# bow at 60#. You will gain a little draw length (1/8 - 1/4" maybe). It is not dangerous unless you go below the manufactures weight range.

there are still a lot of debates over this. Many will say that you should shoot at peak weight and the bow will perform optimal at peak weight. However if your goal is to eventually shoot over 65 lbs I would keep what you got. Lowering the weight is not dangerous unless like whitetail said that you go below manufacture specs. For example if you back the limb bolts out too far that is bad, other than that you should be fine.

If I am not mistaken your limbs are 60-70lb limbs so you're good
