I dont know any other way to describe it but limb slap.
On release of the string from my grizzly, it seems that the only real noise I get is from what I interpret to be the string slapping the limb up by the tips. Is that normal or do I need to re-adjust BH.

I do not notice it one bit on my little K-mag bow, but the it is much more either reflexed in design and I thought I read somewhere wher the more reflexed bows are better at eating up this kind of noise.

You can put rubber tabs where the limb meets the string. I cannot for the life of me think of what they are called. They are just a rubber disc that your string runs through. The rubber disc makes the contact with you limb, getting rid of that noise.

Crap, this is driving me crazy trying to recall what those things are called. We always called them limb bumpers, but that is not the name.

I remember you showing me those now Joe. Thanks.

But it is normal to have some of that sound. I am very tickled with the amount of vibration that I am getting so I feel like it is at the correct brace height.

Brush buttons, that is what I was looking for. Thanks. That was driving me crazy.

One other thing you can do, if you do not want to put anything on your string, put mole skin on the reflexed part of the limb, where the string makes contact.

What's your brace height set at? There might be some noise but it shouldn't be very excessive.

I've heard a lot of good things about the hush things mentioned above. Never tried them personally.
I have put some fleece "moleskin" up there & its worked fine.

I had it at like 8 1/2 in. but when you told me you got better results down around 7 3/4 i lowered it down to somewhere in there I cant remember exactly where it was when I got done messing with it. I have it written down at home and will let you know when I get there. Like I said the vibration went way down but the slap noise was still there.
