Guys take a look at these pictures and let me know what you think if these limbs are damaged from my dry fire mishap on Saturday. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The phone doesn't really do it justice. It looks like the finish is cracked. I ran a cotton swap over it and nothing grabbed. I'm taking my bow in to the pro shop on Friday.

To be safe I'd run it to the pro shop. Was it a full draw, let the string go completely pow dry fire or did the string and cables derail on let down? The first is the real danger, I've done the second once on my old bow, I went to let down, torqued my wrist a bit everything derailed. I put my bow into my press and re strung, every thing was fine but boy did my heart sink. Good luck with yours, worse case you order new limbs and lesson learned. Play it safe though, exploding bow....ouch

It's the first. I was at full draw using my fingers instead of my release when it dry fired. The string didn't derail, but it did so this [IMG]

    That looks derailed to me?

Bear has always has an issue with the dipping on limbs cracking laterally across the limb. One common thing you will see in a dry fire is the cam taking the brunt of the damage. Does it appear bent in any way? Just get it into a shop and have them check it out.

I haven't honestly looked to see if it's bent. The string did dig into the cam.

Well, good news! There seems to be no damage to the limbs. I left my bow at the pro shop, ordered a new string from Hutch and hopefully in a couple weeks, will have it back and get shooting again.
