Will you guys school me on the pros and cons of this typ rest over the cable activated rest? I've read that dual cam bows could get there timing off with a cable activated rest.?. Which is the better option?

Some pros of a limb driven rest:

    Much easier set up.
No timing issues ( talking about rest timing)
    Easy to tune
    Zero contact issues
    Less moving parts
No pressure on your bus cable( timing )

    Cons:
Doesn't have full containment... Although there are way to " add containment to a limb driven rest

Lots of people use limb driven rests, they have quite the following. I like em for whitetail sets where I am hunting out of a stand or blind 99% of the time.

Spot and stalking I prefer a full containment.
I think reliability a limb driven rest get the nod...

I've got the Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro on my MR6 and its advertised as full containment... Works pretty good though it doesn't contain quite as well as the QAD HDX or Ripcord - I do like my TT a lot...

G5 came out with a limb driven rest that looks exactly like a pro V only uglier ...blue and black.

    Think it's getting shipped shortly

Would you guys say that that they can be more accurate since there so easy to adjust? Sorry but I just don't see why one would be better than the other? I guess it's just preference.

You can run the Ripcord off of the limb too. Bottom limb

Cable driven rest will effect let off and cam timing...most guys don't notice because they don't check it. Its not uncommon to add a pound to the holding weight and having to twist a cable. In generally the less pressure and points to pull on the cable the better.
Think of a shoot thru riser vs a cable rod.

Another reason is how much adjustment they take, a limb driven rest stays up way longer with out excessive adjustment.
Next is the consistency of limb action vs cable action...it works the same every time.
Try that with some junk stock cables ...you get it set and two months later you have to not only retime you bow you resetting your rest.

You should have posted that first and saved me from typing an abbreviated version.

Lots of Torny guys shoot a LD rest with a spring steel launcher...

I think LD vs cable driven with a hunting rig accuracy wise is splitting hairs ...But were they do shine is ease of set up and reliability. I use both styles on different bows.
If I was forced to chose on it would be a limbdriven design.
