my 8yr old took his first deer ever today with a near perfect 150yd shot on a doe... I've got pics but no way to load them up yet... still outta town... goin out tomorrow morn for another sit with him to get a buck if one shows his head... he is SOOOOO pumped about hunting right now!!!!:D another very proud dad around here....
Seriously. These posts make me almost want kids now. I think I have actually started listening when my wife starts to talk about having kids, and wanting kids, and kids kids kids... Then I look outside, and see the little hoodlums running about, playing basketball, letting the ball bounce off the cars in the parking lot... But If I could get my kid out there, hunting, and fishing, and teaching him/her what my parents, and family taught me, there might be hope yet. Congrats to yours! Being pumped is what makes it fun...

The good old Initiation of blood on the face!! Man I remember them days of doing that too to the 1st timers and having It done to me as well when I got my 1st deer. Good times man!!! Great pics SevenMag!!! Brought back some good memories!!
