This is my third year bowhunting and my first year using lighted nocks. I currently have Lazer Eye Lighted Nocks by Carbon Express, does the arrow flight change when you install the lighted nocks because just the regular nocks are a different grain. Does it have lots of effect on arrow flight and arrow travel? These are some questions I have, if you have an opinions with the Lazer Eye lighted nocks please share them. It would be great if you could answer these questions!! Thaxs
I shoot the Nockturnals. same as bootlegger, out to 80 yards they don't change the grouping or flight.. don't sweat it you will be fine
You should be fine. Some of the guys on the BH.com staff shot them last year. I too use Nocturnals and never had an issue.
The thing with lighted nocks that can/will effect arrow flight & POI "point of impact" doesn't have to do with the weight of the lighted nock as it does nock fit on the serving...I've seen certain lighted nocks with certain center serving thickness that just wasn't a good combination. When Nocturnals came out I picked some up to play with, honestly I can't remember the exact bow I was shooting at the time "I go through a lot of bows, lol" but the Nocturnal nocks fit the center serving a lot tighter than the stock nocks did. So with that said, I had impact issues with the Nocturnals, regardless of what I changed in the tune of the bow they Nocturnals hit roughly 8" lower than the stock nocks & that was at ranges from 20 to 80yds. After a lot of playing around I finally figured out it was because of the nock being tighter on the serving. Now I have buddies who shoot them and use smaller diameter center servings and they fly great out to long range for them...
I shoot nocturnals and love them ive never had any problems with them besides to much blood getting in the inside and clogging them up . They fly awesome the same as my stock nocks out to 70 yards thats the furthest ill shoot. Ive tried the nocturnals , luminoks , cx launch pads , tracers i like the nocturnals best so far but im trying the new nockout nocks this year they have all the features youll want in a lighted nock.
I've had no issues with either of my bows with them being too tight. They fit my center serving very well. Might be a little too lose...lol. Not really, but they work well IMO.
Just depends on strand count in the string & center serving diameter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
