Just a discussion I had with my friends and they think its illegal but I think they are legal. This is what I found on hunting regulations, "Electronic tracking systems utilizing radio telemetry are illegal." What do you guys think.
Some states they are, just as a cheating device to tracking the deer. Just nevermind I figured out it is legal forsure.
They are legal, But i think there is something about if its a record book deer it cant be put in the book because of using a electronic device.
You cannot put them in the P&Y record book. But you could put them in B&C and SCI. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2
They would be illegal in some states cause some moron bureaucrat says so and thinks they know what they are talking about. They are legal in IL. To make them illegal is such a joke. To me the biggest advantage your going to get with them is to simply find your arrow/bolt. On the buck I shot the other day I would have never found that bolt without the lumenok had to go get it at dark. They can help you with shot placement, but I think more times I ever shoot I stay on target for follow through and not being concerned with watching the arrow fly unless your shooting fairly far may be able to get that extra time to see it. If you got a friend with you or are filming I could see the bigger advantage seeing the shot placement with the lighted nocks.
Here in WA state lighted nocks are still illegal. We tried to get it reversed this year, but no go. At this time, you can have nothing attached to your bow that is electronic. I kinda got the impression that the thinking is, that once you let the camels nose under then tent, anything goes. Like, once they make anything electronic legal, it's just a matter of time before everthing is.
I'm surprised that in some states they made it illegal, I mean the only thing they do is illuminate, provide a form of light; which would be so helpful for that last minute shot during the twilight hours; but if it was considered a tracking device then they should put a gps system in them; lol. At least there legal in Illinois
