I woke up yesterday at 4:30 am and quickly decided to just let nature run its coarse and sleep until I woke up. Man O man am I glad I did that. I finally got out of bed at 6:40 and now its the next day at 10:30 am and i just got home. FML! Now I have to be in Chicago by midnight tonight. FML again. Its messed up how you'll be over 30 hours on a freaking Tuesday. Now if it was only October I'd be all sorts of happy right now knowing that I could come home tomorrow and go hunting the rest of the week. What do you do? It's too hot to give a shot. Guess I'll be golfing tomorrow in/near Chicago. Any takers for a few holes?
Wow... I am thinking how many guys would love to do what you do. Sounds like you have a wonderful life. October will be here soon and the sound of a lonelsome whistle blowing will be replaced by the soft grunt of a buck and the fwwwthmp of a well placed arrow. Today is the only life you have today; embrace it; enjoy it; its all you have... for now, that is.
Well I worked my ace off to get where i'm at, but I have several missed ops. I'm loving the work; however, it's overwhelming at times. I finally received my B.S degree and it didn't help me with my current job. that was my track record of hard work and hitting deadlines. Sometimes/most of the time I wish I would have persued my dream of becoming a Game Warden. Not an option with a wife who has her dream job and that IL GW's aren't given the option to choose where to live the first 3 years.
Congrats on the degree. Of course you are probably learning that college degrees are as much about learning how to deal with life's circumstances as changing them. It may be that you gained the wisdom to be supportive of your wife's dream job and you can enjoy being blessed by that. At either rate, why not pursue the GW job now if that is what you want to do? Forest Gump was right... Life is sometimes like a box of chocolate... we don't always know what we are going to get... but it is still sweet.
My son is 2 now and I can't imagine missing one second of his life. to become a GM i'd have to go to training for several months and like I mentioned before in IL you can't choose where they assign you, so I could go through all of that training to find out I'm assigned 5 hours away. It's not as important as my son and being with him. Thanks for the support I wish there was a way, but the starting salary would kill my morage payment too. lol!
