Who saw that coming........ I gotta say I was really disappointed. I was really hoping to see Rashad get knocked out. Somebody really needs to humble that guy.......
Rashad was just very elusive, waiting for Liddel to engage and caught Liddel really bad on the way in right on the chin with an overhand right. It's been a while since I've seen someone knocked out like that, about as bad as Cro Cop/Gonzaga. I'm willing to bet Chuck's jaw is broke. Rashad was also showboating in the ring before the knockout, the same way he was on the Ultimate Fighter when Hughes was giving him crap for it. I don't know, but when a veteran of the sport like Liddel who has nothing to gain by fighting you accepts your fight, I just sort of feel that a young up and comer should show a bit more respect. I really hope they put Wanderlei on Rashad next, I think Wanderlei will put him in his place.
I didnt buy but was dissapointed to see the results... I like Liddell, I dont know anybody who doesnt.
Liddell is great and hes one of the best ever. But he has to mix up his game plan a little bit.He cant keep relying on the right hand and leg kicks only hes to predictable now.Everyone that fights him is on to this and can defend against it.He has lost his intimidation factor to other fighters .Hes a great wrestler/grappler so he needs to use that more and then pummel them with the hands and elbows when hes got them down.
Amazing in my opinion. He's still light for a LHW, but if he can put the weight on without wrecking his cardio he'll easily be keeping up with anyone in LHW. I honestly could see him as a serious contender in the next 12 months if he puts the weight on right and stays quick.
Chuck getting knocked out like that was hard to watch . . . any one have thoughts/predictions on Kimbo v. Shamrock?? :d
