    Quick question.

Myself and a buddy just acquired a 40 acre lease in Indiana. The land owner is requiring we each carry $100k liability insurance coverage. We both already have that built into our home owner policies.

My understanding is that should fulfill that request and that I wouldn't need to take out an umbrella policy or anything else to provide additional coverage.

Anyone that can provide any simplified explanation that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Double check with your agent but your homeowners liability should follow you worldwide, but it may only defend you and not the land owner depending on the policy coverage. You could also ask the landowner what kind of protection he is looking for by asking you for that coverage, i know its common in MN for land owners to ask for a copy of the insurance and they also ask to be additional insured. Good luck.
