I am looking into purchasing a range finder strictly for bowhunting purposes, and I am wondering if maybe if i would be better served buying a normal, carry range finder just in case or if the Vendetta may be my way to go... Any of you guys use or have experience with them?
A normal one would be usefull during the other seasons also, Use it to mark your distances before hand, That's what I do. I have a Nikon pro-staff 440, Had it about 5 years, ( it doesn't do angles though)
I really want the Vendetta. Having one mounted on the bow seems perfect. If they ban them from 3D competitions, they have got to be good. lol Really though I think the concept is perfect and for a bow hunter the less movement the better. I have heard they work great though then again just like everything.
they seem awesome and would love to have one also. But i remember reading in american hunter that they are illegal in some states. So i would look into that before you buy one.
if you're gonna get a rangefinder, id get the nikon archers choice.. friend has it and LOVES IT. Angle Intelligence. Vendetta would be nice sometimes, but the added weight and complexity just means more things to do wrong while trying to take a nice deer. May just be me, but i range everything out as soon as i get in the stand, just makes life easier and less to worry about when deer are surrounding. http://www.basspro.com/Nikon-Archers-Choice-Laser-Rangefinder/product/94401/106409
