Curious if anyone has sent anything back to Leupold for service. I sent my rangefinder in yesterday and am curious how good the service and turn around will be.

I own many Leupold scopes and have never had to send them back (thankfully). I good friend of mine shoots bench rifles and long range targets, he sends all of his leupold scopes in to the factory for custom work. The turn around time is great and he never has had any issues. I know its not quite the same as repair work but I would think you would have the same results. I would be very surprised if you had a bad experience with sending in your range finder. Good Luck!

They seemed pretty good when I spoke with them on the phone so I am hoping they don't have it forever and don't want a fortune to fix whatever is wrong with it.

You won't find a company with better customer service ANYWHERE! They are honestly amazing.
-Rangefinder had a module go bad in it. New one received in a week at no charge.
-Binoculars dropped in ocean over night. Disassembled, cleaned, purged and all brass fittings replaced; no charge returned in 10 days.
-Vari X III Scope found on old rifle in river; lenses replaced, reticle reset, cleaned, purged resealed and returned w/in 2 weeks for the cost of parts.

That's great to hear Kodiak! So with any luck it will be back in 2 weeks. Rangefinder isn't giving me any yardage. Everthing else works fine like angle and temperature.

Mine was giving me yardage but it was always 28 yards no matter where I was.

Maybe you were just measuring distances that were all exactly 28 yards! LOL

I certainly will. I have to track it today to see if they got it yet. My guess is they will get it today.

I pulled a bonehead move with my rangefinder a couple years ago and washed it in my coat pocket. I emailed them with what I had done and asked if they thought it could be repaired, they said to send it in and they would see what they could do so I did. A week later they called and said they couldn't fix it but they would replace it at cost which was a smoking deal. They went above and beyond in my book.

That's awesome that they did that especially since you admitted that it was your mistake.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday confirming they received my rangefinder and that I should expect to see it back in about 3 weeks. Hopefully faster but service has been good so far!

Thanks for the update. I sure hope it takes less than that. Mine was here just after the letter.

It took 2-3 weeks for my buddy to get his RX-III back. They sent him a completely new one, sealed up in a box! Awesome service.

A new one would work for me too. However the one I sent them has barely been used and you would think it is brand new if you looked at it.
