Well, I figured it's about time to share. We are going into week 14 next week, and as of Tuesday both baby Miller and Momma are healthy. We are due the first week of June, and I've gotta say I'm super psyched. It's funny, because when I talk to people with kids they always say you are never ready to have kids and if you're married to quit waiting and just do it......but I can honestly say we are absolutely ready and in a good spot in life right now for it. We should be finding out the first week in January if it's a boy/girl, and I can't wait! Looks like 2013 there is going to be an entire new generation of BH.com members........
Everyone tells you about the horror stories after a child is born. Don't buy into it. The whole experience is completely humbling. The sleep isn't bad as you look forward to bonding with your child, much like you look forward to getting up and into a stand. The thrill will keep you going. I hope you’re lucky like we were with having 9 hours sleep out the gate. Our son was a trooper when it came to sleeping all night. Not to say we didn't have any of those up every 2 hours to feed. That’s a necessity the first few weeks. Just do us all a huge favor and don't be those parents that take their new born into Wal-Mart the 1st couple of weeks. You’re just asking for the baby to get sick. We didn't take Evan public for about a month and he's never been sick in the 2.5 years he's been around. Not sure if there is a correlation between the two, but I plan on doing the same with the next baby too. Man I'm sure you’re getting excited. The baby is only about 6.5 month out. Evan was born in early June of 2010 and his two birthdays have been awesome. We are able to celebrate outside without it being too hot. I also have a early June birthday and as a child and grown up its great. Every year as a child it was up early and to the lake for a day of fishing with my dad and sometimes brothers. As I got older those fishing day’s turned into float trips or camping, then now it back to fishing with my dad and golfing with friends.
Congrats man and welcome to the club! We're due at the end of April and find out the sex next Thursday, which is our anniversary.
