So what do you guys usually do for yearly maintenance on your bow besides the checking of bolts an what not? I know it's may sound bad but I've only ever waxed my string an thats it, so I'm kind of looking for some help. Thanks!

This is what I just did to my bow that im selling. I dont normally go to this extreme.

I took everything apart and lubed. I also twisted strings back into spec.

There's an extra set of cams in the pic

I wax my strings regularly and check them for wear. I also check the limbs for cracks and splintering. Then I check all the accessories and the string module for being loose.
Every time I change a string I break the whole bow down and clean it lube it.

Wow, that is completely apart hahahah I don't have a press or a anythin so I couldn't really do that much. I took my bow to the local shop an he looked it over an said its all good but just thought I'd see what you guys do to yours. He also said I'm lucky because I have cables instead of all strings, so they won't wear near as fast? I would like to put a new string on my bow my peep sight area of my string is frayed, don't think it's bad if the shop owner said my bow is ok.

How old is your string? Not waxing a string is the number #1 mistake you can make as far as general maintenance goes, in my opinion. Just asking for a blow up.

Target shooters change strings every 6months to a year. Hunters usually change 2 to 4 years. Except when there is excessive wear. The wear you have is in a very weak area. I have had one bow blow up on me and it's not pretty. If its fuzzing wax it and check it good. If it is a strand replace the set.

I use a little lube...bow snot or clock oil on moving parts. I wax the string too. I used to loosen the limb bolts at seasons end but was told it's not necessary w my Mathews Z7 xtreme...still fill funny about that.
