Haven't used the 80D, but it's a great camera. It just didn't have quite enough improvements to make me want to sell my 70D for it. If I was starting fresh, the 80D would be at the top of my list for self filming. If they had put 4K in it, I would have made the switch. I'm in the same boat with the a6300. The a6500 is better, but just didn't push enough buttons to get me to upgrade. I'll most likely upgrade both for the next generation. For Sony, that could be in 6 months the way they're cranking out new cameras. Heck, the A6500 was released 8 months after they released the a6300. For Canon, however, I could be waiting awhile.
I would have no hesitation in ordering this product. The 70D was my backup camera and have nothing negative to report. I don't expect the 80D to deliver anything less than brilliance and reliability.
