Hopefully we may all enjoy this video together. Tim Hawkins is a friend I met a couple years ago and performs nationally.

Perfect. There is some good muskie water in northern Indiana. Lets make a weekend of it. It will be special.

    I promise.

The only thing I have to add....who on earth actually believe CFA has crappy food?! If it wasn't so terrible for you, I'd eat there 7 days a week.

Two words the CEO could have said... "No comment".

And yes.. he did segregate an entire community.. not pyhsically.. but he did. I doubt their will be two dudes sitting on a park bench making out.. coming up for a breath of fresh air and saying "let's grab a chicken sammich at that place that hates gays".

    Not likely.

From a business standpoint.. its a stupid move.

Ya.. I know what happened.. and I'm all for freedom of speech perhaps more than any other.

I get it. I'm just currently ignoring it and talking business strategy. What was to gain?

It's still a bonehead business move.

And.. because of what was said.. people are going to feel segregated.. regardless.

No one's going to remember Chic Fil A as a fine dining destination in a couple years.. it will just be that anti-gay dining experience.

I mean.. no one remembers the brilliant qualities of Mel Gibson (except me).. they just remember that he hates jewish people.

    I love you Riggs!

When did this turn into a debate about best business practices?

If a business wants to be stupid and alienate their customers, that's their perogative.

You do not get it! Cfa puts its values before monetary gain. I would argue those with no values will never get it

He's not anti *****, he just stated his belief when asked the question. Peter puffers are welcome to enjoy a big chicken sandwich with extra mayo at any time.

I already told CM I'm cool with his homophobia in the context of this thread. I asked for people to stop hiding behind the freedom of speech cry. He did just that. We cool.

Now, if this thread was about bigotry, that would be a different story.

Wife took the kids last night (they go when I work late so not a special trip). News was there filming, etc... 2 gay dudes show up holding hands, not making a scene so to speak, just a couple. The wife said the store, including the patrons gave them a round of applause and started cheering. They ended up next to my wife, and they spoke. The one dude said hell, this is our favorite fast food chain so we want to support it. He went on to tell her he knows a guy who closes on Sunday's obviously believes a certain way, but st the same time he knows his boss hates gays so he is not open at work for fear of his job. He said CFA never refused him service, but his job may get him even under a hidden reason if they found out. Yep, right here in good ol rebel flag wearing, race hatin, sour southern baptist preaching Georgia they cheered these dudes. Stereotypes and hype man, nothing more than that. Oh yeah, that never made the local news as they packed up and left soon there after.

Why are people cheering for gay people at CFA? I thought this was about freedom of speech? Why are customers singling out gay couples to cheer for? Unless they were cheering for every couple that walked in and that one just happened to be gay. I could see that.

The crowd was cheering because somebody had stuck Kick Me signs on the gay couples back. I mean it's obvious that 99.8% of the crowd at Chic-fil-a were there because they are secretly anti-gay-gay bashing-homophobes hiding behind freedom of speech support.

Because gay or straight, people went to CFA to support the companies ability to have a stance on a subject without Rahm Emanuel telling them they cant open shop in Chicago. All manner of people ate there yesterday becasue of the unity in that message.
