I am sure there are some gay persons that are praying for you for being so wrapped up in being Christian.

Could it be any values, or just values you agree with? Would you still have all this new found respect for CFA if their values were against hunting? What if they donated money to a cause to outlaw bowhunting in Wisconsin?

And there it is! At least I can respect you for being honest.

This whole act that this is about free speech is bs. If CFA had donated food to a PETA event, and spoke out right about being in support of PETA, no one on here would be talking about their support of CFA. Well, maybe Finch. And Duke, because he's honest.

The whole bit about politicians getting involved...yeah that is the real issue here. Lets drop all the free speech bs and focus on politicians on power trips.

I typed it and deleted it before. I didn't want to be compared to Duke.

That's not really a valid question. Nobody is going to support a company or person who has values they don't agree with. But of course, that's our right just as it's their right to have those values. If a company has values that offend so many people that they stop patronizing said business, they will go out of business and balance will be restored to the world.

Not entirely true. I'm sure many people would support their right to free speech and lack of opression from the government for expressing themselves. Whether you personally agree or not, we all need to stand up for our rights as Americans and put these politicians back in their place.

However, what we would be talking about is our boycott of CFA because they are supporting a cause we don't believe in, which again is our right to do. Just as it's the right of the pro-gay community to boycott CFA for their anti gay marriage stance. Fair is fair after all.

Isn't it the same thing really?

Yea I'm having a big ole Chic filet meal for dinner this evening. After that I just might see if my wife (female) gets a little twinkle in her eye and shows me some appreciation for getting her a large order of waffle fries.

RC kept repeating that he liked that CFA sticks to their values. I asked if he liked the fact that they stick to their values, or the fact that he just agrees with their values. How is that not valid? I'm not sure I follow you.

So, if the KKK were the ones under attack here, you would still make it a point to go to CFA today? Thats what you're telling me? I mean, free speech is very important. What time is the anti-gun rally again? You're going right? Its important to support free speech.

Look, I get that free speech is important. Instead of beating the free speech drum, why don't people just man up and exercise it. Say what you (figure of speech) really are supporting! I still think my 98.7% stat is accurate. Calling a spade, a spade...as this one guy used to say.

I'm not hiding behind free speech. I'll come right out and say I don't care for gay people. That's my belief & I'm not ashamed of that. Don't act like everybody is using freedom of speech as an excuse!

I hate this world. Why is this a big deal? The place is closed on Sunday. Everyone knows that the CFA is supposed to be all Christian and whatever. Now they come out and say their obvious beliefs and everyone freaks out?

All this over bland chicken sandwich with crappy fries. F*** it. I'm moving to Mexico. I'd rather deal with the drug lords than this nonsense.

Yes please do. It would be a short move since you live (as I recall) in a suberb of Mexico in the deep south. :poke:

Outstanding question. That is so unlike you. Kudos. I will post it again to answer your question.

“They are an American business free to have opinions and polices they deem proper even if those stances come at the demise of the company. (they value their values more than profits)”

That statement holds true of every company. I stand by my words. I will respond to the other part you quoted me only I will make a change so that you will understand by removing Chick Fil A and replacing it with another.

“PETA or KKK or ten point crossbows or any other radical counter culture entity has donated many millions to causes they believe in. That makes me like them even more.”

To thy own self be true. CFA is exactly that. They don’t care if it costs them business or money. They place more value in their values. Gotta love that in a company regardless of what their product is an all American sandwich or some ridiculous non-bow made by Horton.

Yeah, bummed I can't show my support against gay people. Maybe these guys will make it though.

Edited to remove profanity. Do it again, and you'll be taking a vacation for a while. - Justin

Gotta love Obama for sticking to his values, even if it cost him the election then, right?

Oh and this is about free speach. Some are lamely trying to punish CFA for that speech but it isnt working. They are not backing down. The phooney pro-tolerance crowd is anything but. They attack differing view points and the media and leftists (but I repeat myself) want to punish free speech that they dont agree with as a warning to all other businesses as a form of social engineering that says, be pro-gay or shut up or you will be punished.

I bet the gay boycotts are more fun than the Christian get togethers at CFA. I saw lots of boobs at the gay pride parade in Seattle. I need to go to more gay celebrations.

Aren't there easier ways to be show your support against gay marriage than standing in a ridiculously long line to eat awful food?
