Check with the gay community to see if they will accept that term. We could wait and ask Germ as I think he speaks for or is a high ranking member of the gay community. Something tells me they hang their hat on it being called "marriage" and it being thought of exactly the same as marriage and demand the same term be used for them.

There you go vito, the local gay guy on this site does not agree with your term. He said he insists it be called marriage. He calls his same sex parter "wife". A dude cant be a wife. They insist the counter culture get to use the same terms as the mainstream.

While he is creepy in his comments I think he is on topic. He represents the gay lifestyle and seems to to be their voice here. A group of hetero guys talking about this seems odd and disconnected but having an openly gay guy comment at least offers insight to his side.
