Just remember history of those conservatives who railed against gay people in the past, most ended up being gay;)

I have no problem with your homosexual fantasies about me. If that’s your thing, have at it but I would rather you not imply I am party to your fantasies. You can hope and you can dream but since Im a married straight guy, you will have to invent this stuff in your head and that’s your right. Your uber liberal views and gay lifestyle will be accepted here since this is a pretty tolerant bunch (except vito). I don’t think you will find anybody giving you grief for the choice you made. In fact, you might find some here applaud you for coming out on the web. While I don’t share that lifestyle I think its courageous of you (especially in a hunting forum). I have never been a gay basher but I do think it will get old if you keep talking about. Your "look at me, I'm gay" might start to where thin after a while. I would stop trying to hard. We see you, you can stop waving your arms.

Okay... I agree... but let's define "The Church."

Jesus, even stated that many will claim to know Him. You grew up in the church so you know this... and they will be cast out because He never knew them. It's full of imposters... I agree. But that doesn't make Kathi a bigot for standing his ground on what he believes scripture affirms. Here's the rub... If he claims to be a Christian... and denies his faith by disavowing what he believes scripture teaches... that would be hypoctical and people would be tight to label him a hypocrit but they are cool with that instead. If he stands firm, regardless of the outcome, and behaves in a very non hypocritical way, the people who claim to avoid church because of the hypoocrits aren't cool with that, even though he is the opposite of what they claim to have experienced in the church. I am still trying to make sense of your logic.

I never said anything about Kathi and my comment had nothing to do with him. So, you don't need to try to make sense of my logic as it pertains to this. It was a general statement.

I was talking about my 12 years of Catholic schooling and seeing all of the people who use their faith/religion as a shield. Somehow they think they can hide behind the idea that they're a "good christian."

Since then, I have seen many more people like this. From many denominations.

x2 agreed, and thats what all of this is about, some folks have a view they are entirely free to have, but for some reason it gets people hot under the collar and out comes the 'your a homophobic' allegations. Im not afraid of homosexuals, but i tell ya many of them and their sympathizers sure are Christophobics.

    100% this![IMG]

Some of the labeling I have seen from the "tolerant" people on here astounds me ...lol

I have an employee that is a lesbian ... she loves me .. she does a great job and she knows what I believe, as does everyone i work with. They believe differently. I believe I am right. They believe they are right. Our relationship is a working one ... she does her job excellent and because of that, we get along great. I have had blacks, gays, women, every minority group out there working for me ... when they did their job, they liked me and we got along splendidly ... when they don't, they almost ALWAYS would point to my belief system as to why i was "targeting" them.... point is, bigotry comes in many forms .....

Chic Fil A did nothing wrong ..... but SOME of the gays felt slighted and wanted revenge ... my employee thought her kind was being ridiculous, as it is his right to believe and speak what he wanted and run his business with the values that he has adopted ...

intolerance? ...please ..... some can't see the forest thru the trees .... I have been in that forest, BTW ... and those dang trees really DO get in the way ...

Okay... I agree... all denominations... there were none in the Bible... we made those up. I was just trying to wrap my mind around the overall thread. Of course none of us are very good... no matter how hard we try... That's the point of needing grace.

I think a few of you may remember when HERE in good old Illinois. Stores ( butcher shops, grocery stores Etc.) were closed on Sundays because it was supposed to be for church and family time.
Still today you can not buy a car or even a house on Sundays here.
We have become a lost society when it comes to true family values for the most part. How many of you actually sit down at the table with NO tv and have dinner with your family every night?
I could care less about the fact that they do not agree with gay or same sex marriage. But to ban them from opening stores because of their beliefs is hypocritical. People serving in our militaries even get time to pray to which ever god they proclaim to be theirs.
It's really time that people stop using race and sex as a means of protesting and really focus on the big picture and where or future is headed these days.

Every night. When I was a kid, we always ate as a family. We do the same thing with our kids.

[IMG] Great post .... the REAL bigots can hide pretty good in plain sight ... can't they? This country has been on a downward slide to Hell because of it's Laodecian, "every did that which was right in their own eyes" mentality. And it is the very people that demanded THEIR rights that protest another's .... put the kool-aid down, America and get back to what this country was
    founded upon....

We sit down for dinner every night.
No TV. On the weekend we have breakfast together.
I have to admit the only time we lack family dinner time is during season.
I promised myself that when i had a family I would raise my kids with family morals and respect for others.

We eat McDonalds or Taco Bell while sitting in our oversized recliners in front of the big flat screen every night.
