Where I am right now. Where I was yesterday as a young buck tried to make sense of what to do with my anorexic Montana decoy!
This is from this morning. I tried to take a picture of a Turkey with my phone. I can't see it though. Sent from my LG-P925 using Tapatalk
I passed him early in the morning and told my self I would take a shot if he came back. This is all the closer he got on his way back to tease me.
For some reason I only have pics of my spots when I hunt out of my ground blind, both whitetails and turkey. Easier to move around/bring more gear I guess. This is a little open woodlot that my buddy owns in West Michigan. Shot my spring bird this past year right in between those two trees in the center of the pic. Another West Michigan turkey haunt. Theres a big tom in full strut in this pic. I was just set up in the wrong spot that day. Trail cam pic of a secluded little NE IL apple orchard. My blind is about 10 yards behind the camera. Still havent seen a deer in this spot. No idea how thats even possible because it looks unbelievable.
My view(including my shadow) just after sunup. Cornfield to the right and behind, and timber up that clearing and to the left. On opening morning I had a nice young 6pt come to 25 yards, broadside, and stop. I had my bow ready, release clipped on...but had to let him walk because I was a guest and was told if I was not going to mount it then don't shoot it. UGHHH. Then I had 3 does working my way that evening. Go to 48 yards, some neighbors drove down the road behind me with kids screaming that scared them away. UGHHH Sure was exciting!
