OK...so we (I) are thinking about getting a few more farm animals ....right now we have chickens and we have purchased honey bees that we will be picking up next month. (pics to follow)

I took part of my small barn and made a coop out of it. Here is the old thread with all the details:

    http://forums.bowhunting.com/water-cooler/21143-got-chickens-43.html

I have since killed all the roosters and lost two hens to some unknown deal. I have lost 8 other hens to the soup pot  I have also rescued 6 other birds and adopted 3 young birds this winter..

I will be butchering the 17 older birds, so I bought 22 chicks at the beginning of March ...

How about you guys and gals?

Will be a while until I do but I hope to some day. Want to own my own place before I bring livestock into the picture. My landlord would probably allow some chickens, but Id rather wait. Awesome collection Tony!

I almost bought five bummer lambs yesterday. :)

So far, it's 28 8 1/2 week old chicks. I have four cockrels in crate right now. They've been pulled off feed so I can try to caponize them in a couple of hours. Wish us luck!

We're supposed to be getting a couple weaner pigs in a couple of weeks too.

No.. me and my Grandfather. One day I hope to have my own steady supply of cattle... I enjoy it, and while risky it's a good source of extra income...

This is only pic I have right now. We're gonna be working calves again this weekend so try to snap some more. Did about 50 or so last Saturday and got about 15-20 left.

    Here you go Tony. ;)

FYI, OSB is considered a perfectly reasonable exterior surface out here in Utah. That my coop was painted at some point is down right spiffy. Lol.

Yes... Yes he does. He was a beast... Honestly I wish we would've kept him or sold him... he was worth a lot more than beef.

I have 15 breeding pairs of corn snakes. I usually hatch ~150 babies every year. Does that count as livestock?

A few calves, one of the bulls and about 25% of the herd.
