Thanks. This is #5. I have one more doe tag and the season runs to Jan 29.

Taking a deer with a pistol is REALLY cool.

I'm in a special regualtions area. Unlimited doe tags & a shotgun season after christmas to roughly the end of January each year. Plus our normal 2 week gun season.

    Awesome stuff, guys (and ladies)!

I shot my first ML deer this AM. I had some errands to run, and I haven't retrieved her, yet (I have laid my hands on her).

May or may not do the photo thing. We'll see. It was a cool rush, though. I had 4-5 BB's and a couple does 35yds from me (I was on the ground). It was 1st light, and I was having a heckuva time distinguishing one deer from another. I sure didn't want to shoot any of the BB's.

When the smoke cleared.....I saw nothing....heard nothing. She went about 80yds, even though I smoked her right through the shoulder. Amazing creatures.

I had a few people tell me they would take a deer if I could take one. So, this gave me a reason to try to thin some does. I could take 2-3 more and they'd have homes in someone's freezer.

Will try to take a pic.

I didn't get a pic. Sorry. We had it attached ot his hitch hauler before I even thought about it. I didn't want to have him unload her. This guy had posted a message on our state forum....asking for deer meat, if anybody had any extra. That kinda stuff gets to me, especially when we have plenty.

Maybe I'll get another chance, this year. If not, no biggie.

I can't believe she went as far as she did, though. The hole in her shoulder was massive.

    Thanks, guys.
