I hunt from a ground blind. I simply use a canon camera using a tripod. Sometimes a GoPro for video of me shooting. Simple. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
i like your set up. what are you using? (talking about the tree stand and post for the camera) does it interfere with shooting to your right?
Everything you see there in regards to the tree stand and mount is home made. I'm handy with a welder. The camera is sitting on a head from a Walmart tripod. All of my 20 + stands have a post off the corner to mount the camera arm. The set up doesn't interfere at all with shooting in any direction since it's height is slightly above the knee.
I'd love to mount a SLR but I'm always at someone else's place with no clue what I'll face. Last hunt had absolutely no place to mount a camera. If not for the Tactacam I wouldn't have anything. Not that it's very good footage.
Been using a muddy pro arm for 3 years, might change to a 4th arrow arm this fall for the new camera. Added weight on the camera plus size of the arm is better with 4th arrow.
