What was the main issue with civil liberties in the 60's? Fear

So in all the states and all the voters that didn't vote to support it, they were scared? None were interested in or just have beliefs on what they view marriage as? For example a person that says I believe marriage is between a man and a woman doesn't really believe that they are just in "fear" of homosexuals?

you must have skipped reading comprehension in college, I said nothing about a woman unable to have a child not being able to marry, I referred to not having the equipment to even begin the process of reproduction. i was speaking of homosexuality in general, how i view it as abnormal, as do a majority of people. There are many normal couples unable to naturally reproduce, and that is unfortunate.

Hold your mouse over the title without clicking on it and a little box pops up showing what the first few lines are of the first post. If you don't like the topic, move on. If you do click on it and read the first few lines and you don't like it, move on.

I see no need to be offended by the topic and have no idea what the big deal is here Michael.

I'm not offended at all. Personally I don't understand the same sex life style. But I have family and friends that are gay and one happens to be my brother who I just introduced this site that I love. My point to this is that I feel that 99% of us on here are level headed good people. But when there are other people that do not know all of your views or the views of most of us and they read this it fits the typical stereo type of " red necks killing animals".
most of you have been saying things that could never be taken as offensive. But obviously there are others. By the way dan I can't put my most over it i'm on my phone lol. I just don't want any of us to have to be judged as a collective because of a few bad comments. Just like we get when people hear about poachers.

Passive Aggressiveness noted. Ignorance noted as well.

Some men and women in heterosexual marriages can't, unfortunately, create a child. Going back to your previous statement, they would fall under your claim. The majority of people view it as normal? Come on now, seriously, just come on.

oh oh oh wait i forgot it's only gay if you dont quit when its your turn hahahahahaha
evryone is so busy trying to make sure that we read their point on what they are saying that they arent really understanding everyone else.
My main point to all of this is we are judged everyday by our love of hunting. So why give the unter haters more of a reason to hate us. Also remeber the thread about TATTOOS and how people with them are judged by them. I feel like this is just the same thing. If a black man and woman get married or woman and man is that against any type of moral or civil standards today?
but to some it is the most offensive thing in the world and should not be aloud right . so is that a discusion that should be talked about on here too? By the way to clear it up really quick I could care less who marries who as long as it not my wife who is already married to me lmao

The advantage of being married is being with someone who loves you unconditionally.

I have never understood people who are homophobic and harbor hatred or ill will toward homosexuals. My mother's step brother is gay. I grew up around gay people and it did nothing to cause me to slip to the "dark side" or whatever the phobes call it.

My wife and I hang out with a Gay couple quite a bit, they are like family to be honest. I fully support them getting married and we will likely stand up in the wedding. What I see in North Carolina only reinforces to me that we as a society can't appreciate love and be happy for people who are happy. Who is it hurting if gay's get married? Who cares if there are synergies in their union, is it coming out of our pockets?

The way I see it there are two more available women on earth for every gay couple so why hate if they are increasing the odds for the rest of us;)
