The voters there decided there was no such thing as same sex marriage. Marriage they said is between a man and a woman. LOL Finally, some sense.
It took them a while. We did that several years ago. We may need to point out to the gays that it's not discriminatory. Straight people can't marry someone of the same sex either.
We have another vote here in Maine in November. In 2009 our legislature passed a bill legalizing gay marriage and it was overturned by a referendum by the voters. Now they think enough people have changed there mind and the homos have brought it up for referendum.
We don't want government telling us what to do, unless we disagree with what some are doing. Then it's ok

Such a sad day for NC, I attended a rally against Amendment 1 back a few months ago and it's such a shame that people voted on this thing given that not only is it based in bigotry but it will end up having negative adverse affects on heterosexual relationships as well.
