How the hell did you get Pliny the Younger in NY? And have you had Heady Topper by The Alchemist in Vermont?
I have a brother in law in San Fran.... No I I haven't had the Alchemist heady Tropper but I have had a Stout by them...Luscious maybe? It was Devine. Not a big Sam Amams fan, but their double and triple bocks are good when I can get them...as is this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Elk steak and dark beer. Nothing better. Big Sky has a fall seasonal Oatmeal Stout called Slow Elk that is a great medium dark beer that has a bold molasses/chocolate/coffee flavor that is not to bitter on the end. Good option for someone to "test the waters" with.
Good and Dark...here is a good Stout to get if you can find her..buy all you can Founders Breakfast Stout. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am generally an IPA or a stout guy. I love winter & Christmas beeres. My new favorite is southern tier 2Xmas. Mad elf is another fave. Also in my fridge is a bells 2 hearted ale, a crooked tree IPA & a rogue double chocolate stout. . This beer talk has prompted me to crack open a harpoon chocolate stout.
Im currently between either Boston lager or a local NC amber ale. I have been trying some different stuff...im game for some suggestions.
I can't stand dark beer. I'll stick to my cheap miller light Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
What NC Amber are you talking about? I would love to find a good local brew I enjoy. I am an amber fan myself. My favorite beer to date is still Newcastle. It's a little on the dark side but, my favorite. I just tried Saint Pauly Girls a few weeks back and it was pretty good as well a little lite but, good.
Oh...that is too hard. I'll go with my top 10 this year, in no particular order: Russian River Pliny the Elder Russian River Consecration Firestone Walker Parabola New Belgium La Folie Sour Brown Ale Jester King Boxer's Revenge Wild Ale Jester King Wytchmaker Rye IPA Oskar Blues Ten Fidy St. Arnold Pumpkinator Elysian Fields Rosemary Agave IPA Deschutes Stoic I would probably list another 10 if you asked me tomorrow.
Not sure if Woodchuck Cider is considered a beer but if so that's my pick. I'm just getting into the real beer taste. Only a bud light kinda guy at the moment...cant get into the darker beers. But keep tryin little by little...hope to find one i like.
Also there are many great breweries that I have yet to try, such as Three Floyds, Surly, Cigar City, Founders, The Alchemist and many more
Brown ales, pale ales, and IPAs. Some porters and amber ales. Not a big fan of lagers or beer with no taste. Its funny that beers like Busch Light, Bud Light, and Miller Lite are considered "man beers" by many. I'm sure you guys know it used to be called "diet" and not "light" right? Enjoy your diet beers, you pansies.
