I generally go through phases, but right now, I'm really craving sours/wild ales. I can't get enough of them, but not many people are doing them right now, and when they do them, they are gone with the quickness. Jester King Boxer's Revenge Wild Ale or Russian Rivers Consecration would be my favorites right now. Another favorite new style is the DIPA. Russian Rivers Pliny the Elder is my favorite. I've heard good things about Bell's Hopslam as well though. For my easily found styles, I enjoy a good IPA or stout. Favorite IPA would be Bear Republics Racer 5, while my favorite stout is probably Oskar Blues Ten Fidy.
Well...Busch Light of course... Actually, since my "Yuppy Beer Thread" about a year ago my palate has expanded. I dont mind porters or ales. Great Lakes Christmas Ale is high on my list right now. I wanna try Lienes Vanilla Snowdrift Porter. I also recently enjoyed the Cabin Fever microbrew and some Lienes Honey Wiess recently. At the bars ive been getting Miller Light drafts lately. I don't drink beer often, but when I do I prefer a heavy hopped I.P.A. I have always loved Stone's Levitation and recently got hooked on their dark I.P.A. Sublimey Self Righteous. There is also a pizza and brew pup in Chicago called Piece Brewery and they had an award winning I.P.A. called Dysfunctionale that was awesome plus their Camel Toe I.P.A. is a hop slamming rocket fuel.
We have two local decent resturant breweries here, Inferno Burger and Laggerheads. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
You have some great breweries available to you in Chicago. Three Floyds is considered one of the best breweries in the country. One day, I will attend Dark Lord's Day. One day.
Miller Lite in the bottle. Then when I have the desire to switch it up a little bit... Miller Lite in the can. Sometimes I get a wild streak in me and start off with Miller Lite... get a bit of a buzz going and switch to Smirnoff Ice Wild Grape wine cooler. When the wife isn't looking I steal her Bartle & James Fuzzy Navels to mix things up even more !! Tim
It makes me weep that so many people do not, or will not, ever experience beer outside of a light lager.
Three Floyds is solid, I drink their Robert The Bruce Scottish Ale at our local brewery. The American Pale Ale was swept this year by local breweries, Chicago is getting its groove.
Since Leinie's discontinued my favorite Fireside Nut Brown I've been drinking some Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale. I'm a fan of the dark lagers this time of year.
Bud Light or Busch. The way beer was meant to taste. It troubles me when so called breweries ruin the taste of BEER as it was meant to be. You can have your FOO FOO beers.
Nahh wives are off limits for picture requests. Girlfriends/fiances/hookups must be approved by the board. Hes posted pictures in the past i believe though. Hes the lucky one.
