Yeah because you wouldn't want anyone thinking you're out of style. This thread = Gay Sauce (as in do you want hot, mild, super mild, or gay sauce?)
Why is it "gay" for a man to know how to dress properly and not look like a slob? I think it is quite sad how men have been taught that it is "gay" or feminine to care about their appearance.
I think men do care very much about their appearance. I know my husband does. He does not want to look gay.
Agreed. I don't own a pair of cargo shorts and if I do I do not wear them. All of my shorts are at the knee or just above. I'm a little overweight so to have anything shorter would be scary I consider myself to be a southern gentleman and the pics you showed are not gay. They are classy! There is a huge difference one that apparently our neighbors to the north don't understand. Sad really that men are becoming boys again (in general).
I thought Old Yeller was sad. If a person doesn't dress in a way that another feels is "proper" or "in style" that doesn't necessarily mean they are a slob. It also doesn't mean they don't care about their appearance. It's more than likely it just means they don't care what you think of their appearance. I'm not saying it's wrong to care what other people think of your shorts and I know a lot of people who kind of "obsess" over their appearance and how others perceive them. Those people just happen to all be women except for this one engineer I work with. I admit though he is one sharp dresser
You do realize that the civil war ended almost 150 years ago right? It's time to move on from the north/south generalizations.
I can just picture cavemen giving each other crap about their loin cloths being to short or long, lol It's just funny how now more men care about their looks. My grandfather cared, but he dressed like a man.
Correct, he never wore shorts or jeans either. I never seen him with scruff, or his hair not comb and looking high and tight. He had a suit on every Sunday for church.
