Just finished it. I didnt think the ending was perfect, but it wasnt terrible either. As for LOST...I was so Lost during that last season that I dont even remember the ending...lol The Sapranos ending was pretty good...imo.
I wanted him to kill his grey matter associates. They were the driving force behind his madness. And I wish Saul woulda stuck around for the finale as well. The last stand at the clubhouse was a little far fetched too...but like I said...wasnt horrible.
He messed with the rest of their lives though, they have to live according to his rules now. sent from droid razr maxx hd
It would not have made any sense for Walt to kill his old Grey Matter partners. I do wish they would have revealed what actually went down, because we never really got that story, although it was implied that Elliot stole Gretchen from Walt, and Walt decided to split because he was pissed. And yeah, the rotating robot gun was a bit far-fetched, but was badass. It made more sense for Walt to out-science/engineer them instead of him going out like Rambo.
I would have liked it if Walt went off on the Grey Matter folks to let us in on what happened, there was a little mention in the beginning about Walts kids disease and a project Walt was on would have liked that tied up too.
I really really liked the finale, the only thing I would change is the final scene. I think that after they showed Walt staring up at the ceiling and the cops coming in they could have added something in that would have left it more "moving" per say...Not needed but would have been a nice touch IMO. I.e the baby shower video
I've always liked the song Baby Blue by Badfinger. The final scene as Walt dies and the song is playing...alot of the lyrics in the song tie to Walt perfectly. I will always think of Breaking Bad when I hear that song. The first verse "Guess I got what I deserved" Baby Blue - Badfinger - YouTube
I'd also like to know more about the whole Grey Matter deal. Also, this show was famous for flashbacks/forwards, I would have liked to have seen how exactly Walt poisoned Brock. Brock always had a look of discomfort around Walt and makes me wonder if he was suspicious of Walt or if Walt ever threatened him.
I'm not quite sure I remember this. I'll have to go back and check it out. Anyone planning on buying the box set?
There's supposed to be tons of bonus footage. A show this good...I'll probably spring for the box set (used copy perhaps).
It happened in season 4 but they went over it in the beginning of season 5. Walt and Saul were in Sauls office talking about lifting the cigarette from Jesse and Saul was pissed because Walt never told him the kid was going to get sick. Then Saul said it was over and Walt fired back "it's not over until I say it's over". Hope that helps jog your memory.
I am starting the final 8 episodes tonight. Getting close now. I looked at nothing in this thread so still don't know anything more than I should.
I finished it tonight at almost 2 am. Great ending for the most part. Does Sklyer get off free? Does the family get the money in the end from Gray matter? What happened to Jesse? Did the German chick die of the ricen?
Yes she can make a deal with the cops with the coordinates of hank and gomi's bodies, yes, I think Jesse went to go take care of Brock, and yes.
She can make a deal. Hopefully it worked. I would not of minded seeing another episode or two to see where the money ended up, if Marie and skyler became close again. And a Jesse Brock update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
