I am going to be pulling hard for Oklahoma, Wisconsin both to win. The winner of Miami and Clemson makes it, I don't believe the loser does...same for Auburn vs Georgia.

TCU and Ohio State can be the pot stirrers. I don't think either is in if they win personally, Ohio State has best chance just given who they are I suspect (despite that not supposed to play a role).

However, I want Wisc and Oklahoma to win to once and for all make them do the wise thing and expand to at least 6 or the golden number 8 IMO.

I'd love to see a team like UCF or even Houston from last year till their fall make it to the playoffs. Not too mention you have Auburn and Alabama BOTH IMO are tops currently right now on Saturdays that MAY each end up not making it in.

If you have Georgia win, Oklahoma win and Wisco win....that leaves Alabama, Ohio State and Auburn on the outside looking in without a doubt. THAT WILL SHAKE THINGS UP solely based on the names of the schools left out, right wrong or indifferent.

6 teams. Number 1 and 2 in the nation get first round bye (reward for the entire regular season). #3 plays #6. #4 plays #5. Winners play #1 and #2 according to seed. And so on...... I like it right now. Way better than the old BCS crap when you lose a game you are essentially out for the year for the NC. I might be alright with 8 teams too. BUT never more than 8 in my opinion. Then you start bringing in teams that really don't deserve to have a chance at the NC.

By the way I'm leaning Oklahoma. They look really good. I don't think anyone on the planet wants to play Auburn right now. Something about Miami, just not buying into them (horrible loss to Pitt this time of year too) Then there is always Bama if they get in. Should be a good playoff. And Notre Dame sucks again.

How about just 4 conferences, one issue is conferences are not balanced at all. Big Ten west all Wisconsin has to do is show up, would love to see Oklahoma, Oklahoma St and Texas in the big ten.

I don't think they could get all teams in 4 conferences. Wisconsin is just that damn good that it makes the West look bad :)

Like the chance for teams outside the Big 5 conferences to have a chance also. I'd drop a regular season game in favor of an additional playoff round.

Put some thought into it and this is what i come up with.
    ACC Champ is in.
    SEC champ is in.
OK in with win. with lose Bama would get in. I would love to see TCU get in with a win with there only loses being OK and ISU on the road in closish games but dont see that happening with a one lose Bama.
Big 10 champ should be in OSU with win and an OK lose should for should get in.
I just cant stand Alabamas weak schedule they wont have a win against a top 25 team. (LSU and Miss St might be in the top 25 but barely) It's like rewarding a team for not trying. Cant lose if you dont play competition.

Does anyone really think the committee will leave out a one loss Alabama (to Auburn)?

Exactly. The Big Ten west is weak. All of the talent (aside from Wisconsin and occasionally Iowa) in the Big Ten is in the East.

4 is better than what we had, but 8 or 10 would be much better. The problem with before, is you might have 5 or 6 teams that finish with the same record, but it is difficult to determine who the best two are because they don't play equal schedules, so typically the big name teams would get the nod over teams that might have been better but play in a lesser conference or don't have that big name. A playoff at least gives those teams the opportunity to rise up and prove it.

They should. Auburn forces their schedules to NEVER play a sole outside of conference unless at home or neutral site. I get sick of it. Personally I'd love to see the committee come out and say playing teams like Mercer (Auburn is guilty yearly too) is a negative impact...

Georgia added a trip to ND, USC out of conference is ridiculous most years....Alabama is a scared baby when it comes to this....and the years their SEC schedule isn't friendly Saban has whined. The BEST team arguably yearly shouldn't be such a snowflake schedule.

What you outlined is why I actually suspect we will see 6 happen before 8 will.....although I do see 8 is going to happen eventually.

    Oklahoma, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State.

Alabama has no chance, they beat no bodies and lost to Auburn. Ohio State shouldn't exactly get in but they will if they beat Wisconsin, which they will.

Buckeyes dominated the first half but are only up by 11.

The Big Ten West does kinda suck overall. Then again...the Buckeyes did get their arse kicked by Iowa didn’t they?

My Sooners are looking tough and will probably get Georgia in the rose. I hope “the committee” leaves bama out for their terrible schedule. Why in the hell would you even schedule Mercer in late November?! Hopefully the buckeyes play Clemson a little tougher this year.

I would think Ohio St. gets in over Bama.

Can’t believe they let bama in over Ohio state. Their narrative has changed every week from the beginning with this committee.
