I do not mind being captain unless Lowbanks would like it. Either way we need to contact Fitz as we are in need of one sub to replace t-mill. Officially 2 weeks until the opener here. I'm chomping at the bit to get out and check my cameras, but they will be sitting until Friday. The bow build is coming along, was able to totally disassemble it today and give the whole bow a cleaning. New strings came in and will be going on tomorrow, can not wait to shoot it.
Ghillie is good with me as well. Sorry I'm not on much lately, swamped at work and trying to get un-swamped by October.
I posted giving our team name, captain, asking for an alternate and requesting a thread title change. Who is taking vacation off to hunt this fall? I will be able to hunt 3 to 4 days a week and then I will be hitting it every day from the 5th through the 15th.
Ill be taking a few days off that's for damn sure..... just gotta make sure my crew can handle everything while im hunting my brains out
Pulled trail cam cards on the weekend. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. Nothin really to show off. Although, the silver lining is a buck that, I think, may be the one I was after last year. Judge for yourself. The color pic is last year, black and white is this year.
Tough to tell lowbanks, personally I think it is the same deer. Seems to be no kicker on the G2 and what looks to be a new G4 on his left side? Are there any discernible markings on the body?
Not from the few pics that i have, no. The taper on the right G2 has me convinced it's the same deer. I was hoping to see a bigger increase this year, but considering the hard winter we had, I happy just to see this one back.
Based on last year's pictures, I'm confident that he's 5 1/2. Deer in my woods usually don't put on a lot of tine length unfortunately. I consider myself an age hunter anyways. I've been passing on anything under 4 1/2
The one on the right looks the exact same as the one I shot last ur and couldn't find cant tell if it's his for sure or not. The one on the left is def my main goal he's older and has more mass. Bowhunt Madness
