When he saw it was still breathing he should of immediately put another round in it. Got what he deserved!
Fast creatures they are. Unfortunately the dumber of the two mammals survived and will likely breed.......
I saw this on fb. Word is the hunter is a kid from my area. Use your head young fella and shoot it again. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

Saw this last week, pretty funny. Stuff like that always makes me feel iffy walking up on a deer, my eyes play tricks sometimes and gotts really look to make sure its not breathing.
Some of the comments on here amaze me. He could have made a bad shot, flinched, whatever, hence the neck shot. He did notice it breathing, but probably figured it was going to be dead soon, and wasn't really sure what to do. However, in these comments, he probably shouldn't be alive, because he's a moron, and since he is alive, he's disturbed, and we should be scared of him.
Agreed. **** happens. Where is the hole in the neck? I see some blood, but I don't see where he shot it in the neck. Looks more like he shot it high in the back and shocked the spine. But, that wouldn't explain the blood around the mouth.
In the video he claimed he shot it on the run, so the bad shot was not a result of "flinching or whatever" It was a result him being impatient and shooting at whatever he saw, hence the "moron" and "idiot" comments- reasonable if you ask me.
I watched it silently at desk so no clue what all was said in the video...if he took a running shot...then he's even a bigger idiot in my opinion then just neck shooting. Hopefully lesson learned.
Here is the story of my first deer kill: - I'm hunting on a youth hunt (I'm 11) with my older brother who is asleep under the tree - I shoot a nice 8 in the neck (on accident) - The deer is flopping, so my brother runs and slits the deer's throat. - We then drag the deer at least 300 yards back to the truck. - While admiring the deer in the back of the truck, the deer stands up, freaks out, then jumps out of the truck and runs about 100 yards before crashing again. - Me and my brother change our pants. - We then sneak up on the deer, and shoot him again. True story.
