If you're talking one pass then I would say 5 or 6 inches. You could do more by raising the plow and skimming the top layer then coming back and lowering the plow and plowing the rest. It's a pain though.

I'm finding the biggest drawback with an atv plow is once the snow gets piled up about 2 ft high on the side of the driveway, it's tough plowing new snow over the top of it.

My issue is I want something for the cabin driveway. Problem being that I may not get up there for several weeks or a month and the snow could get pretty deep by then.

I don't think a four wheeler with a plow is your best option then. You're going to really struggle to try and plow a driveway with a foot of snow in it.

I have the same issue most years my Arctic Cat 400 can clean off the driveway if I keep the blade raised for the first pass then clean it up on the second

So you can do it. It just takes longer.

Brad would it make sense to hire someone to remove 12 inches or so. Not every time it snows just when it accumulates. There is a guy off of P that does a great job and is very reasonable.

Yes it would. And that is actually what I have set up with a guy down the road. He plows it out for $20 a shot which I think is pretty cheap. Planning on going with that for now. I just hate relying on other people. We will see.

Never saw anything like that down here... our removal system is shut down everything and wait two hours.

I works pretty well as long as it isn't too deep. Once its too deep, the tractor moves too fast in reverse for the blower to keep up. Plus no down pressure on the 3 pt so the blower starts to lift on its own. A newer tractor would fix all those problems

I've used my Honda Rubicon ATV to push snow in 8-inches of snow before, and I don't have chains. . I have the ITP Mud Lite tires and they pull great in snow/mud!

My blacktop driveway is 320ft. . ''If'' we have a deep snow, I angle my blade to the side and make one pass down the side of the blacktop. . Then turn around and plow up the other side. . Then make a pass down the middle.

Then I have to make another pass down the side again to plow the snow off. . In all, it takes me 4 passes to do my driveway. . It takes time, but gets the job done!

I've been planning for years to buy a large blade and mount it on my John Deere, but we don't get that much snow around here. . When we do, most of the time its 1'' to 3''.:). . If I use my JD tractor with the bucket, it takes longer because I have to stop and dump the snow out!

If you had a blade for your side-by-side, I would think it would push snow great!

Look up some YouTube videos of side-by-sides pushing snow.

That's why you get a compact tractor with a mid PTO so the blower is in the front, ya see.... :D

Problem with that is you can't rotate the chute. Plus on my tractor 1st gear forwards and reverse are the same speed.

Ground clearance would be my issue. I only have 8-9" on my Mule.
