Should be an interesting year for me. I should have the opportunity to hunt KY private land through some guys I work with at least once this year along with my Tx lease. I am pretty stoked for an opportunity out of state again. Their farm holds some pretty nice deer too, so crossing my fingers that it all works out. As far as my Tx lease, this has been our best year yet for off-season protein management. Lots of bucks finally coming into the pens and some showing some good potential early on. I'll be pulling cameras tomorrow!
I think I might just go with this to get me back in the archery game for now... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bear-Cruze...rentrq:06ad035116c0a4e8e09e5553ffee2a5d|iid:1
I really like limb driven stuff. Hamske or limb driver. Or AAE. Or trophy taker. But my limb driver pro v is on my target bow and I have a whisker biscuit on my hunting rig. When my hunting rig was my primary bow, I couldn’t keep whiskers in my biscuit...or biscuits in my whiskers.... I don’t know, I’d wear them out in about a month shooting 100+ arrows / day
Only purchase aside from gas and processing I hope to make this year. Popped up during prime day so got a back up charger for the phone. Just hope the charge display is accurate.
Hamskea's are absolutely awesome! I know you like to move around though so a QAD HDX might be better suited since you can lock it up and have the arrow contained
I have a QAD HDX and have good luck with it. Like the arrow containment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My Ripcord Max is new to me but Im shooting great with it. I can put it in the up position for arrow containment and then draw or let down and it will stay up.
ehhh gotta hold off buying a bow till I get my disability chack from the VA on the first. So I bought the XOP treestand transport system in the mean time! comprimises! I had the previous version for my summit viper and it was amazing.
Gotta love going to your lease finding your camera on your best protein spot stolen!!! On top of that hogs managed to find their way into my pen surrounding my feeder and completely trashed my area including my fencing Was looking forward to checking out my bucks that have been showing out!!
I have 56 days remaining to get my fatass into shape. I saw a picture of myself swimming on july 4th, and I looked like a whale giving birth. I'm 5'-7" on a good day, and weighed 240 pounds on july 15th. Since going back to school after my stroke I have not been too physically active. I'd walk a few miles every other day leading up to hunting season, but that was it. I cannot go to the extreme though per doctors orders. Seeing as my physical condition is holding me from what i want to do, (Be a true run and gun hunter with the LW) I knew it was time. I started a low carb high protein diet on the 12th, and got a recumbent elliptical from my wife's work (Assisted living facility was throwing it away) and started doing a cardio workout on the 12th as well. I now exercise m-t-w-th-f. cardio m-w-f, and physical strength on t-th. (pushups, situps crunches.) I found a few intense HIIT elliptical workouts on youtube to get the most out of my workouts. a little over a week in, I can feel a major difference already. I'm hoping for a good result on my weigh in tomorrow! My goal is to be down around 200 pounds for opening day.
Awesome. Keep it going and you’ll get there. I need to lose at least 20 myself and 35 wouldn’t hurt. Walking down a potential new farm yesterday was a stark reminder of how out of shape I am.
