Well... time to get the cameras prepped tomorrow. Your post just convinced me. I Need to get going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve decided for the most part I’m going to be in a ground blind this season. The reason being is that I cannot sit still like I’ve mentioned many times. I know this has got me busted more times than I even know about. I bought two cheap Sportsmens guide ground blinds last year, and hated them. I’m going to invest in some decent quality blinds. Unfortunately it’s a necessary evil for me that I just have to learn to deal with. That being said, I might as well be comfortable right? You should get one of these duck layout blinds Swamp. :] Red dawn style...and warm. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
LOL! Too damn funny, I was seriously looking at that too!! But my head is the thing that moves the most I think. Otherwise I would be all over that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve been really trying to think outside the box. Now try not to laugh, but I bought one of these: Now I knew full well that the blind is attached to the chair, and if you move the whole thing shakes. I saw some potential, but needed some heavy modifications. 1. Got rid of the chair. 2. Make a frame for it out of PVC pipe. 3. Make it have legs that dig deep into the ground. 4. Make it somewhat collapsible for transporting it. 5. Use my existing ground chair. It came out OK, will work great inside of Mountain Laurel Bush, with camo netting over it. Very tight fit though, great for an afternoon hunt. Only usable with the devil bow of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Screw that. Here ya go. https://www.target.com/p/7pc-microf...ssage-usb-realtree-camo-relaxzen/-/A-53938498
Got 3 cams ready to go out this Sunday. Cleared the SD cards and replaced all batteries. Still have 2 cams out since last fall... hope they are still there. Bought some stock salt and a few gimmick “minerals” to get a quick survey on what I’ve got running around this year. Will put cams out Sunday and won’t check them for another month or so. Taking down my rut stand on Sunday and Setting up my 2 sets of sticks in some early season spots. It’s go time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lets goooooo! I’ll be trying to get the stand/sticks combo down this year. I’ve always hunted from permanent stands. They were portables but I’ve never moved stands numerous times a year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Found a slick little spot map scouting today. A small 10 acre or so piece of the public that is totally detached from the rest of the public land and is a half mile away from the big section. Gonna scout it soon. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Dang, sonnnnn. That's basically my set up and you'll love the light weight. It takes a bit of getting used to hanging these on the fly but I'm down to about five quiet minutes now. So you changed your mind on that. What are the chances you changed your mind on the ohio gtg? Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
