Thats right... damn.... what a fight!!! Carwin had that fight won in the first round... and if it wasn't SOOOOO hyped... I believe the ref would have called in within the last minute of round 1. Lensar was on his back and wasn't defending at all!! I will say that fight lived up to the hype (with the exception of Brock winning by a choke) and that was one of the best cards that I have watched. The Bonnar fight was incredible!!!! As for Lesnar, I see him taking care of Cain pretty easily, but Carwin will be back, and I think he will be more prepared for a longer fight/ground fight... and if Carwin can work on those two things.... I don't see anybody hanging with him!
It was a good card and I picked Brock to win! Did not think it would go out of the first round but very shocking that he got him in a choke. Bonner ALWAYS puts on a good fight and that is why I like him so much! He is a true fighter with nonstop action.
Although I do not watch MMA anymore I can say without a doubt that Lesnar IS one of the toughest. Many fighters cannot turn from the hammer to the nail and still recover. From your description Lesnar was getting pounded like a nail, yet he regained his form and turned back into the hammer. You would be surprised at how many of your favorite fighter mentally fold when they get pounded and do not recover mentally. Only the best can turn from getting beaten to a pulp to winning a fight. So in closing I will say Lesnar is one of the most dangerous men on earth. In fact, this fight will make him even more dangerous because his mind understands what it takes to overcome serious adversity.
Plain and simple Carwin was gassed before the end of the first round. I knew once he stopped punching and throwing elbows that if it went to the second he would lose. I thought Carwin had better cardio and was wrong, I was soo damn pissed.
Lesnar turtled up but did throw a few kicks upwards and stated he was never hurt and it was evident that was the case. He stayed busy enough to keep the fight from being stopped. What else do you do when a guy with 5x gloves is throwing punches from above. Championship 5 round fight and your gassed after 2 and a half minutes? Really? Lesnar showed great heart by coming out ready to bang and keeping his wits. And than to end it with a arm triangle are you kidding me? No one saw that coming although I was surprised he let Carwin unload like that the first round which he later stated was the game plan because Carwin was never out of the first. Well done, Well done and a deserving win. Carwin even admitted he hit Brock with everything and Brock took them like no one else has. I guess Lesnar answered the questions about his chin. And at least he was humble and respectful after the fight which is the only thing I ever disliked about Lesnar but he is a emotional dude so let him cool down before you talk to him. I met Lesnar 3 weeks ago and he was very nice and gave me the time to actually talk to him about how his training was coming along. He beat Carwin by TAPOUT! It's a win deserved!
Any other fight and it would have been stopped. I will be the first to call him a liar (not to his face) that he wasn't hurt as his face was completely getting smashed in. Carwin got gassed because he kept throwing and waiting for it to be called. You could see he was suprised that it wasn't. After the second wave of beating and no call by the ref, he should have just backed off and made Lesnar get back up.
Lesnar got rocked but he did show that he has a damn good chin. I don't think for a second that he wasn't hurt, if that was the case he wouldn't have ended up on the ground. I think we will see Brock and Shane again, hopefully Shane comes in with more stamina Brock got my respect back last night, it was a huge turnaround in attitude for him. He is by all rights the Baddest SOB in the game. His tattoo is still gay though
i didnt get to see the fight did brock land any punches?i know he took a good ass whooping in the first round but did he land any punches or was it just wrestling? i thought carwin wanted to wrestle brock what happened? why the change of game plan? i'll tell u what ole carwin is lucky brock didnt bash his face in once he ran out of gas! glad they went at it though and they was sportsman afterwords would like to see a rematch cut out the wrestling and just go blow for blow and lets see who falls!

preciate it ! i couldnt order the fight b/c i was watching the race and it got to late to order it man i was pissed
Real good night of fights all the way through. Leban, man I love that guy, talk about a chin. Nice to see him evolving on the ground as well, he fought great off his back. As for Brock, wow, he got a wake up call and weathered a hell of a storm. Most Hvyweights in that division would have been out cold. Brock proved he has a chin, which was a question many had going into this fight. Carwin brings big power but he is gonna have to improve the gas tank if he's gonna win that belt. In the end, I feel like both Brock and Shane will be much better fighters in the future due to what this fight brought out. I like both of those guys, they showed a lot of respect for each other after the fight too. Nice to see that. I am sitting here watching the fights again ... 3rd time through.. glad I bought these, it was a great card.
