Hey Booner, give me your honest opinion, how do they fall in with the Radix? Price/performance.

I pulled the cards from my cheap cam this morning and the G42 Stealthcam hanging above it. I'm very pleasantly surprised. The new cheapy camera did a lot better than I expected. The night pics from it are grainy but the stealth cam didn't even take any night pics. It missed a couple of nice bucks actually. I don't know if that stealthcam is not working right or if the new camera has a better sensor. I have to get another stealthcam and hang there to see.
The new camera takes damn good day pics and the blur was a non-issue in day pics, night pics there is some but about like the 02 proof cam I had last year.

Not really an apples to apples comparison. Radix is a much higher end camera. As far as reliability, the proof cams i have been very impressed with, but that's about it. The picture quality, features, video, battery cost, on Radix put in on another playing field. Fwiw I will buy more proof cams if i find the same deal somewhere. They have a purpose. If all you want is a picture of a deer they are more than adequate.

Is two of those bulletproofs for $69.99 each, a good deal?

I like the crap out of the Radix but at $160 each, my wife might start to push back on me. I applied for a field staff spot, but never heard back from them.

I have a buddy that bought a dozen of these...he said instantly either 2 or 3 (memory slipping) were trash....two crashed and still has a half dozen of em or so out. He swears day pics are above what he figured and night times are good if deer is within about 30 feet.

They aren't taking any more for this year as far as I know. about January they will probably be looking for more staff members.

Don't join a staff just for discounts....creates a very shallow pool of credibility for someone IMO. (no Jordan I don't mean you fit this)

Agreed. Most people don't realize it is a business relationship.

I agree completely on not joining for discounts. If it was perceived that way, it wasn't intended to. I own more Reconyx trail cameras than any other brand of camera. They are top notch in customer service and product. After trying one of the Radix I believed that it could be a top notch camera, so I applied to be part of the field staff believing that it could be one of the top trail cameras out there. I have permission to hunt on numerous acres around our area, including our own properties, and knew that I could be a good "test" of the cameras.
