But settles for 60... ho hum. What a great round of golf. I can't for the life of me understand how that putt on the last hole didn't go down lol. It did everything but drop. That has to be bitter sweet. Amazing how a golf game can turn around in a week. He looked like a hacker at Torrey Pines last week and now he drops a 60. Not saying he's going to go on and win but you have to be doing something pretty dam good to go that low.
I didnt get to see any of it but heard he was on fire. I have always liked Phil and hope he plays well for the rest of the tournament.
Cruel as a lip out gets lol ** well I can think of one other that was worse! But we dont' talk about that anymore.
OUCH! That is the first I have seen it, thanks for posting. Sick. His caddie was just as devastated. What a thrill it would have been for him also to be a part of a 59.
I really like Phil.. In the post round interview he talked about the new driver he went to and how it helped his game a ton this week. I had to make sure I was still watching an interview though because it sounded a lot like a Callaway comercial... But I am a Callaway guy so I loved it lol
He's back at it today. He opened with 6 straight pars and then had a run of 6 birdies and an eagle to get to 19 under. And damn... as I'm typing it looks like he hit one in the water on the last hole. He had a dang 7 shot lead for Pete's sake.
