As a Cleveland fan this is the second kill shot we’ve had to endure from this man. He’s like the promised son that keeps running away (Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall). Downtown business owners are going to be effected the most when there’s no interest in basketball. Even when we had a young Kyrie who was obviously special enough to get LeBron to come back the fan base was just not there. On the plus side, most Cleveland fans prefer football and baseball to basketball and both those sports are on the upswing here. Go Pack Go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know he has meant a lot to Cleveland, it is going to hurt the economy big time around there, because after he left the first time, Cavs were what the worst team in basketball? Hopefully you guys can rebuild. I think he is doing what is best for him and his family. He left a lot of money on the table by not signing with Cleveland again. That may be the last championship he ever wins though in Cleveland. Road to the ship looks a lot harder now in the West and still not much on his team to work with currently, but he is Lebron, every team is significantly better with him on the team.
I agree. There are maybe 4 teams that even have a chance of winning a title next year. Rockets, Lakers, Warriors, and maybe Celtics. Nobody else even has a prayer. Why even have a regular season next year. The only way of fixing this is having a true salary cap. One teams can't go over the way the can now. Even then players are taking huge pay cuts to play with certain teams for the chance of winning a title.
They need to take the 12 teams with the best record in the NBA not Eastern vs Western Conference like they do in the WNBA. No team from the east can compete.
These "super teams" killed the NBA imo. Just give Golden State the title again. Whats the point of playing? Can you imagine Bird, Jordan, Magic arranging to be on the same team? I preferred when they tried to beat each other rather than join each other.
