I thought there was a good chance he would return there. I still remember the hatred the fans had for him when he left for Miami, but I like the storyline of him "returning home." His experiment of making a super-team at Miami worked quite well, although I don't like the Heat for that very reason. I'm glad he's back in Cleveland. And Cleveland has never won anything...ever...and now they may.
I don't get people ripping Lebron for leaving the first time... You are the best player on the planet and after 7 years your team STILL hasn't been able to build a halfway decent roster around you? I'd have left too. In fact, after how childish Dan Gilbert acted with his letter I'd have a hard time ever returning to play for him and make him even more money...
I agree...he simply did what other players around the league do all the time...he owed Cleveland nothing and had every right to leave Now the Heat fans are acting like Cleveland did 4 yrs ago
Trust me...the Wolves will screw this trade up...they make more bad decisions than any organization in the league
After the decision I lost all respect for LBJ. Not because he left Cleveland but how he went about it. After reading the letter he recently wrote I wish him nothing but the best. I might now even support him.
Hopefully the wolves can work out a good deal but like you said the wolves will F this up. Taylor doesnt deserve to be an NBA owner. If he ran his real businesses like he does the wolves he wouldnt be a billionaire!
I am happy for the Cleveland fans, I hope the wolves trade Love to the worst team in the league, oh wait that would be the wolves
I never understood the hatred for Lebron, we have never heard a police report, about a rape, kids with a ton of women or problems with teammates or fans. He keeps getting better every year and he wins no matter the players around him. Cleveland sucked when he left and Miami probably wont make the playoffs without him. For those that are mad about "The Decision" it is time to let that go...he raised millions for kids!
I have no issue when he left for Miami (maybe a little overblown), and I have no problem with his return. In fact I think it is genuine and heartfelt. He could have got his money anywhere (and as good of a chance at another title) but chose to go back to his hometown.
An opportunity to have the GREATEST player the game has ever seen and you're gonna turn that down???? I think not.... His letter/essay was a very classy, well-written statement embracing his HOME state, and the opportunity to return and raise his family where he felt like he belonged... Pretty tough to not embrace that.... I saw a parody regarding the son coming home, and the King saying slaughter the fattened calf and lets celebrate.... (Biblical reference), and I think it is truly much like that up in Cleveland in all honesty.... They have some good parts to build around him, and I think a very good chance to be in the finals when June roles around in 2015.....
