I say who cares. He's a product of his environment. Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but the media has mentioned his free agency once or twice in the last two years. He is the most talked about free agent in the history of sports. Times are different now. The NBA has marketed their players for years. They LOVE the attention this is getting. Some of you guys need to lighten up. I couldn't live with all the hate or dislike of people I've never met.
They dumped alot of players. They can afford all 3 max deals. And for all the people saying LeBron is an "also ran" player...LOL.
Outside of you mentioned that he has the skills to be the best player ever in the NBA.. I agree 100% with your post. Well said. I personally hope he either matures fast...or never wins a title. I would not want him on my team ....the Lakers ....Unless he matures a bit. Side note: I never liked Kobe much until 3 years ago. He made a bunch of changes over the years for me to like him.
There is a huge difference, Jordon went to college and played for one of the Greatest coaches in history of college game.
Laugh all you want. It's common sense. You have players who've won championships........and you have "also rans". LeBron's has no championships. So, deductive reasoning says.............
LB biggest issue he has not leanred how to play basketball from a great coach. If he would have went to college and played, things might be different. It's easy to beat Cleveland, just stop LB, because the rest of those guys cannot beat diddle. If Cleveland wants to win with Lebron, then neeed to get him another scorer and a coach that understands what defense is in the NBA. AKA Larry Brown type coach
Then don't post here, LOL I happen to enjoy basketball, not so much the NBA anymore, but still have a love for the game, and love to talk about it.
Jordan would not have won any championships with Cleveland's supporting cast. Kobe had Shaq, now he has Odom and Gasol. Jordan had Pippen. Kareem had Magic and AC Green. Bird had Robert Parish and Kevin McHale. David Robinson never had a ring until Tim Duncan came to the Spurs. Who has LeBron had? Now if he signs with Miami with Wade and Bosh and doesn't win any championships, then yeah, you can call him an "also ran".
Hooker.....it's pretty simple. It's just more "coulda-woulda-shoulda" talk. Those guys DID win championships. You have champions ------ and you have "also rans". You're one or the other. Don't make it more complicated than that.
But it is more complicated then that....your rational is accurate...but leaves a lot out of the equation. IMO, that's short-minded thinking. Life goes on.
Short--minded thinking? Where the hell did that come from? I simply made a statement that's 100% defensible (and 100% undeniable). I didn't say he was a bad basketball player. I said he'd never won a championship. Can you argue that? You're grasping. There's no need to.
This has become one of the most ridiculous things I've ever witnessed in the history of sports. I just watched (while flipping channels) an hour of SC ALL about Lebron. They had about 50 different headings with 50 different ways to talk about him and his stupid freaking decision. Are you kidding me? Is this guy the messiah or something? I must be missing something. He's another great talent in the sports world that has NOT won anything. And he deserves a month of airtime and a dedicated hour to make "the decision"? LMFAO. Chicago, NY, Miami, Cleveland .......... who gives a BLEEP. I'll concede he may be one of the top 3 players in the NBA. But I fail to see how he's on a different playing field than everyone else on planet Earth. I thought the Favre thing was bad....... holy crap make it end already!
Guys from the Cleveland area, what is the attitude going to be like towards him if he leaves the Cavs? Oh and I'm hoping for the Bulls. Just to add another team to give the Heat a run.
