It's all for show, he'll stay in Cleveland because they will pay him too much for a team that can't win, or he'll go to Sacramento and still not be able to close. Either way I think I'll pass on watching.

What???? You're surprised. The dude didn't graduate from highschool. He's just paid obscene amounts of money to play a game. Everyone wants to be his friend. He honestly at this point thinks he's worth something to humanity. He's just playing the game and watching folks pay a few hundred dollars for a seat to watch him make one or two great plays a nite. As long as people pay.... there will be Lebron James press conferences lasting an hour. I won't be watching. I'll check the headlines on the internet. Should take me a minute or two. By the way.... do people really watch pro basketball other than at the playoffs.

Look i'm no fan of lebron but to be honest the man is a animal its just a matter of time b4 he finds the right pieces to be successful.he's a very talented player and has handled the spot light better than most kids his age would so i hope to see him become successful and bring back a game that is subpar minus a few kobe, durant, howard. Instead of hating on the man we should expect similar skills and talent from all the rest maybe it would be fun to see a league with more than 3-4 players that are fun to watch like it used to be!

Not to stick up for him, but he is just a kid yet.... He is only 25 years old. I don't care if he ever wins an NBA title, you cannot deny his skill set.

Many say he doesnt elevate his teammates.... I bet 75% or more of you couldn't name half of the Cavs starting line up... I think he has done pretty well with the teams he has played with over the years....

This past season was the biggest let down... All of the other years, you could make the arguement that the cavs in fact did overachieve considering their roster.

The problem with him is that he seems to put himself above everybody else... it is a team sport and takes a united team to win. Nobody can deny that he is a freak of nature and has the skills to be one of the best players ever in the NBA... but the problem is his attitude. Guys like T.O, and Ochocinco in the NFL are labeled as cancers because of their "me" attitude.. but LeBron gets a pass?

He may be an egomaniac (among them all who isnt though?), but he is not a selfish player... He spreads the ball around to everyone...

Honestly, I have watched hundreds of games with Lebron, he is a good team player.

They didn't make such a big deal of summer of 2010 for nothing.... There is not one team in the NBA who would not want him on their roster...

You cannot say that for TO or Ochocinco.... That is reason enough to believe that is an unfair and unjust compairison.

I think you are being to hard on the kid....

I'm an advid football fan and when people say that t.o. Was selfish. I say name one reciever who isnt? If you arent relevent you are out on your ass thats how the league works unless your name is mcnabb.t.o. Told the truth on that bum and was crucified for it! Mcnabb costed philly the ring! Throwing up on the field choking and costed me money! I say if it is truthful then it needs to be accepted and cut out all that "team crap" that they try to make everybody swallow you only get so many chances in this sport so when some bum choking destroys everything you worked for all year hell yeah you need to criticize the hell out of him maybe whoop his ass in the locker room and he should be cut its only a team sport when they win when they lose people lose thier jobs once again unless your name is mcnabb. I feel for washington shanahan cant save them as long as that bum is throwing the ball which wont be long considering he'll get hurt the second game of the season! Waste of time and money! Hell go get lebron he could play better than that bum! Oh yeah steelers rule !

My question is who are we gonna get in the decision he makes, Lebron the business man or Lebron the man. Should be interesting. As far as him having his little show, I really don't see the big deal like Scott eluded to. He's by far the most sought after free agent and the face of the NBA for the next decade. If he gets a 1 hour show, so be it, it beats the freegin soccer games. :)

    Case in point.

And 25yr olds are now "kids"? OK...I'll remember that, next conversation, here. Anyone 25 and under is a "kid".

Maybe it's ignorance.....or just being a "kid". But, he's the most egotistical sports star I can think of. Maybe it's not his fault. Maybe those surrounding him have actually made him think he's worthy.

I bet he goes to the Heat. James has the same number of rings as Jordan did at 25. Until Cleveland gets him another player to take the heat off him, James will never win a championship.

Jordan had a cast of role players who help, the Pistons in the lates 80's and 90's. As good as Isiah Thomas was, it was the addition of Joe Dumors, Mark Aquirre and Rodman that made the Pistons a Championship team.

I hold my judgment of LB the team player when he gets some talent around him. What he had this year was pretty pathetic for a team trying to make a championship run. A broken down shak and 3 other dudes. Can anyone name them who does not live in Ohio? With out using Google? I can name one, Jamison

Yet, at the same amount of time in the league, Jordan had already won a championship. And, was well on his way to more. LeBron??????

Kobe had won 3 (in that same timespan) and was on his way to more.

LeBron hasn't won a championship. Slice that any way you want to. It's a fact. Until he does, he's another also-ran (when comparing him to the "greats").

He almost averaged a triple-double for the SEASON. 82 games.

    That's F'ing insane anywhere.

Let alone in the best league in the world.

I'm not even a huge LB fan. But, damn. The dude can play.

HE has put Cleveland back on the map when it comes to the NBA.

They won over 60 games this year. They're good. Can't win 'em all. Especially when you're tying up 1/4 of the salary cap.

Hearing now that Miami could sign LBJ. Isn't there a salary cap in the NBA? Bosh, Wade, and James......might not be enough shots in a game to keep all 3 happy. I still think he's staying with the Cavs.

    Lebron

I have really never been a big fan of Lebron but he is one of the top players in the NBA. No he has not won a Championship yet but that doesn't take away that he is a great basketball player. Yes, he requested this but look at how the news media has been building this up for weeks!! D-wade and Bosh are making a freaking documentary on their free agency process which is ridiculous! The only positive thing about the special tonight is that all the money made for commercials and ads during broadcast will go to Boys and Girls Club of America. At least that is what ESPN said anyway. That was Lebron's idea. I will tune in to it but it is a shame that it has gotten to this point. What happened to just playing the sport for what it is and enjoying it....

    Money

The only way they play together is for all 3 to take a pay cut of 2-3 million a season. Why would that matter to LBJ when he makes 80 million off the court..... Who knows?? This is crazy

They showed on ESPN last night how the Heat could be under the cap with all 3 players.
