leaving game cameras on public ?

    just wondering does anyone ever leave game cameras on public land and what has been your luck getting them back ?

    I have 2 cams out for like 3 months a year on state land, haven't gotten one stolen YET (8 years). You just have to be careful where you place them.

    i keep mine at least 8ft off the ground using a covert mount. keep it out of a persons normal line of sight and if they really want it, they have to come back for it

    i have had up to three out at one time. I lock them in the metal security box with the masterlock viper cable. So far no issues. Would have to be prepared to get one down. I also have them tucked away well. Around here as long as it is not near a road you are probably okay.

    I had 1 stolen last year in maine and a few times in mass i have had them turned around and turned off!!!
