We recently got offered a lease,it's 118 acres. The owner is asking $1300 for it,is that to much ? or is it a good deal ?

How much would you pay to lease this for one year ?

I got on a lease this year the total lease is about 3000 acres, my portion is around 200 acres. And I paid $600.

It doesn't look like it has much huntable area. Do you know the number of acres that's timber?

If this was in the Midwest I would say good luck, but if this is Kansas, well that's what Kansas looks like! I would put boots on the ground and let the sign tell you if it's worth it. $1300 is pretty cheap for a place to hunt with any deer

For perspective most leases here in IL are going anywhere from $20/acre on the very low end to $50/acre on the very high end. High $20's/low $30's seems to be about average. So a 118 acre lease would cost somewhere around $3,500. $1,300 seems very reasonable provided there's some deer in there, which it looks to me like there would be.

Great price if sign shows. Ask if you can go look around just one day and get back to them.

As long as there are deer it seems like a good deal to me. Good luck

If it is quality property, that's a great price!

Just lease it sight unseen, it'll make for a much better story when you post the kill pics this season

Worth having a look at it with boots on the ground. That's in Reno country correct? That county has three 180" class bucks in the record books. At what, $11/acre if there are deer using it your chances of seeing something good are better than average I'd say.
