Ive kinda renewed my interest in baseball this year (Go Tribe), gotta have some background noise while fishing.

Anyways, learn me up on the MLB this year. Whos supposed to be good? Is my tribe gonna do any good?

Gotta be some baseball fans here?

Also...i thought i read an article in SI awhile back saying Jeter sucked and was done, but looking at things it seems he batted .316 and lead the AL in hits? How can that be bad?

    So confused!

The Nationals, Braves, Angels, Dodgers and Blue Jays should be some teams to watch. Loaded line ups and good pitching (except the Angels).

The tribe should be better this year. Cincy will be solid as well.

Would agree except substitute Tigers for the Braves. And I wouldn't discount the Phillies either. They have too good pitching to be not mentioned. Seem to be flying under the radar.

Also... the Yankees and Red Sox are toast this year. Change at the top in the AL East. Not sure I'm buying into the Orioles totally, but they were there untill the last week of the season last year and never went away.

Baseball lost my interest a few years ago. Dont get me wrong, I love watching the Twins and still play amateur ball but the MLB is such a bad product. When only a couple teams are competitive a year and half the league has a salary cap smaller than A-Rods paycheck, it blows.

With that said, I still follow the Twins and watch games when I can.

I agree, but early on, I'm really impressed with the Red Sox. Lackey's injury will prove interesting, but I never thought he was a good sign. If Middlebrooks, Ellsbury, and Pedroia stay healthy, and their rotation can stay out more than 4-5 innings to keep the BP healthy, they will finish at least in the middle of the AL east, and most likely ahead of you guys:D

Politically incorrect Cleveland Indians. That team that screwed up the 90's terribly.

Go Reds, may finally be legit this year after a few years building up to it.

That said, I wont follow it until the season is about 100 games deep and the series start to mean a little more.
